Elegant and inviting this home is a Cuban inspired retreat with scenic views of Lake Travis. It boasts over 6,778 square feet of interior living space, complemented by over 3,300 square feet of outdoor living area. The exterior entertainment area houses a rock fire place with a cut stone and glass surround, allowing outdoor cooking. A unique element of this home is the large Koi pond that extends under the wine cellar. A clear surface allows viewing through the wine room floor to this Koi pond, truly a remarkable feature. The negative edge pool and glass mosaic spa interact with outdoor living spaces that create a feeling of intimacy. Hand-carved, solid teak cabinetry is unique to Austin and is seen throughout this amazing home. The kitchen offers an open design with full ceiling height cabinetry and an expansive center island; the black French oven by La Cornuea serves as the inspirational centerpiece.

The large master suite has rich herring-bone hand scraped wood flooring, with exposed wood ceiling beams and an impressive lake view. The large attached open trellis area with privacy wall enhances the independence of the master suite. It also hosts an expansive bath area that includes a chromatherapy tub, sunken shower area, separate make-up vanity, his and hers sink vanities, and a coffee bar. The master walk-in-closet has beautiful custom made knotty alder cabinetry with a cedar-lined dresser, shelving areas, and an impressive furniture-style island with great storage features. The library/study area has custom knotty alder cabinets with intricate design features and a large arched window that looks into the private courtyard. The interior courtyard contains a relaxing, bubbling natural rock sculpted water feature with spacious seating areas. The formal dining area has an exterior balcony that is suspended over the negative edge pool. The interior finish out of the formal dining/snug area contains a stone fireplace, double-barrel ceilings, and a rock arched area supported by an antique wood/stone column. The lighting for this area and throughout the home contains a mix of hanging chandeliers and sconces that are contemporary yet traditional in fashion and a true compliment to this style of home.

The second story of this home contains three bedrooms complete with their own baths. It also includes an inviting media/game room with large picture windows and views of the lake, wet bar, and secondary powder bath. This entire upstairs has hand scraped hickory/pecan wood flooring as well. The home is equipped with the latest in audio/video technology with state of the art control panels and features for entertaining throughout. The home's intricate tile patterns support historic references and give an artful presentation. The hand painted artistry and build-up plaster work honors the design inspiration of a historic coastal retreat.
